Privacy Policy

LC and Sons LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates WayWayKids, a website and app that helps kids learn through flashcards (waywaykids.com). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and a unique Google account identifier from Google. We never receive or store your Google password.
Kid profile information. Parents can create lightweight profiles for their children within their own account — just a nickname and a chosen avatar icon. We do not collect this information directly from children; it is entered by the parent. We recommend using a nickname rather than a child's full legal name.
Learning activity. We store which flashcards a kid has reviewed, how well they know each one, and related progress information (streaks, mastery), so their learning picks up where they left off.
Billing information. If you subscribe, payment is processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your card number or other payment credentials — only an identifier connecting your account to your Stripe customer and subscription records.
Email signups. If you provide your email on our coming-soon page to be notified at launch, we store that email for that purpose only.
Cookies. We use two cookies, both essential to the site working: one that keeps you signed in, and one short-lived cookie used only during the Google sign-in process to prevent forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services.
How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Let you sign in and access your account
- Track each kid's individual learning progress
- Process and manage your subscription
- Notify you about updates you've asked for (e.g. launch emails)
- Maintain the security and reliability of the service
We do not sell your information, or your children's information, to anyone.
How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers necessary to run WayWayKids:
- Google, to authenticate your sign-in
- Stripe, Inc., to process subscription payments
We do not share information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party, except where required by law.
Children's Privacy
WayWayKids is designed for parents to use with their children, and accounts are created and controlled by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 — kid profiles are created and managed entirely by the parent within their own account, using only a nickname and an avatar the parent chooses. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information other than through a parent-managed profile, please contact us and we will remove it.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account and kid-profile information for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email address below.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS) and never storing passwords — sign-in happens entirely through Google. Session identifiers are stored only in hashed form, never as plain text.
Your Choices
You can sign out at any time, cancel your subscription directly from within the app, and contact us to request deletion of your account and data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
